She Said Yes

I love when I can throw on one piece and walk out the door, it's even better when that one piece is denim!  This denim dress is the piece of my dreams, I can wear it alone or open it up and wear it as a killer jacket.  I love the oversized pockets, chunky cuffs, and big buttons, it gives a simple piece major dimension.  The slits in this dress keep it from looking like a blast from the not-so-good fashion past, and will have you showing off your legs Angelina style.  My favorite candy stripe heels were a perfect match for this dress, and just about every piece of clothing I own.

Refreshingly Honest

I have teamed up with Honest Tea to celebrate honesty on social media.  My blog is filled with perfectly posed pictures and the best lighting, but it takes a lot to get just a couple perfect shots.  I go through hundreds of pictures to post about eight, and today I am being #RefreshinglyHonest and sharing some of the funniest pictures that have not reached the blog.  Post your #RefreshinglyHonest pictures to instagram, it can be a selfie fail, a boring meal, or just an average, everyday moment! Visit the National Honesty Index to get some info on just how honest the US is.  Feel free to bookmark this post for when you need a good laugh.

Sometimes your outfit hates you.

 No-chin monster?
 Jump-shots rarely end well.

I get a lot of people asking to take my picture with them, creepy yes, hilarious always.

Sweater Weather?

Yesterday was below 85 degrees so naturally I pulled on a sweater and booties.  The pleated leather skirt is everywhere from Aeropostale (where I got mine) to J. Crew.  This piece is super versatile and can literally fit any style.  I am a huge fan of long layers but always feel that my height (lack of long legs) stops me from giving long layers a chance.  With this look I chose a longer sweater with a midi skirt, this allowed the effect of a long layered look but was the perfect size for my frame.  My turtleneck collection is growing and I am so pleased, I loved pairing a necklace with a turtleneck for an unexpectedly chic look.  What are most excited to wear for fall? Let me know in the comments!

Well Dressed Garbage Person

If you use the internet regularly, you have probably seen the "100 years of style" video, if you haven't thats why we have google.  I have watched that video over and over and every time I stop on the 70s look.  I love when you see a look so amazing that you are completely jealous, but you then realize you have every piece in your closet!  That is basically what happened with this look.  A denim jumpsuit should be part of everyones wardrobe, it is the perfect daytime one-piece.  To break up the denim overload I kept the top undone with a halter and tied a vintage scarf around the waist.  I finished the look with chunky glasses and chunky heels.  Special thanks to my dad for coming up with the title of this post.
