Pretend its July

Nothing like a little sunshine to completely inspire me.  I love this lazy bohemian look I put together, this look would be perfect for long days under the sun.  It didn't even reach much past 60 degrees today and I am already completely on Summer mode.
I love the draping and slit of this Free People skirt (similar) paired with converse and a halter.  It completely turns this piece into a day time staple.
Kimonos (similar) scream summer and the longer the better.  I love this unique floral print.

 Praising the sunshine.

I hate matching but when your halter matches your lenses, how could you say no?

Outfit Repeater

On a grey day like today, a classic black and white look is always the answer.  When my inspiration is running low I like to turn to simple and classic silhouettes.
My J. Crew knit joggers (similar) get the most wear out of anything in my closet.  They go with me everywhere from ballet to brunch.  It is so easy to dress up or down these pants.
In a close race, this Sin Clarity Blazer is probably my second most worn piece.  I adore the unique open back.

This crisp button up is by Gap.
I paired this gold collared necklace by Rocksbox with my look.  It gives this look a more feminine touch but is still very classic.  Remember to enter code danixoxo at check out for you first month of Rocksbox FREE!

Neon Grandma

If the weather will not warm up it will have to be left behind.  I am transitioning into spring wear whether the temperature joins me or not.  Since spring break is right around the corner here is some inspiration to help you get packing.  I watched Advanced Style last night and am completely inspired, I highly recommend watching it.
I love black paired with neon accents, it is my favorite way to wear neon.  My checkered joggers are from Macy's.  I love bold pants, I always feel more glamorous in pants than anything else.
Time to break out the kimonos! This floral print kimono (similar) makes me feel super "old lady in Florida", in such a good way.

A bold heel finishes off this look.  Shoes complete any outfit and are the perfect way to turn a drab look into a fab look.  These orange, python babies are by Steve Madden.

Where are you heading off to for spring break?

That 70's Snow

I could not wait any longer to go all seventies, summer, and bohemian, I could not let this blizzard get in my way.  I paired a seventies inspired pant, which could easily be worn in the summer with a lace crop top, with a fuzzy vest, turtleneck and funky accessories.
I am in too much love with these pants by Stoosh.  The super skinny thigh is perfect for major bell bottom drama.

This fur vest (similar) breaks up the patterns and adds volume to this look.  The Topshop top and skinny pants would just make me look like a pole, by belting the vest is gives me the illusion of a shape.

I love my sunglasses, they are the perfect way to go out without eye makeup and still look glam.  These are by Sunscape Eyewear.
Although, I am not happy about the snow, I am happy I got to squeeze in a few last fur looks.

#MACYS PROM

I had the best time yesterday at the Macy's Prom event at Woodfield.  I am not sure how I could have not loved it, it was a day of pink, fashion, and dresses!  I met so many beautiful and fabulous faces.
Before the event I was hanging out in my favorite cosmetics brand's station.  The Benefit girls were doing mini makeovers during the event, getting everyone all ready for the big day!

I wore a Guess Romper (similar),  I usually hate rompers because of my long torso but this one was a perfect fit.  I loved the pleated detailing and the tie around the neck, one of my favorite trends this season.  The long sleeves help balance out the short cut making it a super classy look.
With such a simple look, bold accessories were a must.  I paired my python, over-the-knee boots by Shop Akira (similar) with my goto nude bag by Greg Michaels.  This bag is perfect for a long day because it will hold your makeup, snacks, and whatever else you can't live without.  Then I finished the look off with larger than life curls.
Macy's has so many amazing prom dresses, I could not wait until after the show to look at them.

Pink lemonade and mini pop tarts, yes please!

This color blocked two piece is seriously to die for.  I had to try it in on after the show.  Color blocking and two piece dress are huge this prom season.
The girls of Sweet Suspense are too fabulous for words! I seriously enjoyed their performance so much.  Check them out!
I love yellow for prom.  This dress is super sweet and simple but has a fabulous open back.
You will look like royalty in this tulle dress with a gorgeous beaded top.
Totally star struck when I got to meet these girls! I totally should be a part of Sweet Suspense, don't I fit right in?!
Next I tried on two of my top picks for the season.  This white two piece dress is totally inspired by Rihanna's open back, two piece white dress.
How fun and sassy is this dress? I walked around in it for about 20 minutes because I didn't want to take it off.
Then I tried on this piece! Definitely one of my favorite prom dresses I have seen this season.
Which piece is your favorite? What are you wearing to prom? Let me know in the comments or on Instagram!
